Share
Proper maintenance will help keep your walking pad running smoothly and extend its lifespan. Follow these simple steps to keep your treadmill in top condition.
1. Regular Cleaning
Frequency: Once a week
- Turn off and unplug the walking pad before cleaning.
- Wipe down the belt and frame using a soft, damp cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals or excessive water.
- Clean the console and display screen with a microfiber cloth.
2. Belt Lubrication
Frequency: Every 3 months or after 40 hours of use
- Turn off and unplug the treadmill.
- Lift the belt slightly and apply a 100% silicone treadmill lubricant underneath.
- Spread the lubricant evenly by walking on the walking pad at low speed for 2–3 minutes.
3. Adjusting the Belt Tension
Frequency: When the belt starts slipping or feels loose
- Turn off and unplug the walking pad.
- Locate the adjustment bolts at the back of the walking pad.
- Use an Allen wrench to tighten or loosen the belt:
- Turn clockwise to tighten
- Turn counterclockwise to loosen
- Test the belt tension by walking at low speed.
4. Aligning the Belt
Frequency: If the belt starts shifting to one side
- Turn off and unplug the walking pad.
- Use an Allen wrench to adjust the rear roller bolts:
- Turn the left bolt clockwise if the belt is drifting left.
- Turn the right bolt clockwise if the belt is drifting right.
- Use the walking pad at a low speed to confirm alignment.
5. Checking for Loose Bolts
Frequency: Once a month
- Inspect all screws and bolts on the frame and console.
- Tighten any loose bolts with a screwdriver or Allen wrench.
6. Cleaning the Motor (Optional)
Frequency: Every 6 months (or if you notice reduced performance)
- Turn off and unplug the walking pad.
- Remove the motor cover.
- Use a vacuum or compressed air to remove dust from the motor and internal components.
- Replace the motor cover securely.
7. Troubleshooting Common Issues
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| Belt slipping | Tighten the belt using the rear adjustment bolts. |
| Walking Pad not turning on | Check the power cable, outlet, and safety key. |
| Uneven belt movement | Lubricate the belt and check for debris under the belt. |
| Excessive noise | Check for loose bolts and clean the motor. |
Safety Tips
- Always unplug the walking pad before performing maintenance.
- Do not over-lubricate the belt, too much lubricant can damage the motor.
