Maintenance Guide
To ensure your AV Walking Pad continues running smoothly and safely for years to come, we’ve outlined essential maintenance steps. Our walking pads are built for minimal upkeep, but regular care is key for optimal performance.
1. Lubricating the Belt
Frequency: Every 3 months or after 40 hours of use (whichever comes first).
Why it matters: Proper lubrication reduces friction between the belt and deck, preventing wear and extending motor life.
How to apply lubricant:
- Unplug the walking pad.
- Gently lift the edge of the belt.
- Apply a 100% silicone treadmill lubricant along the center line under the belt, about 10ml per side.
- Plug in the walking pad and walk at 3 km/h for 5 minutes to distribute the lubricant evenly.
Note: Do not use oil based lubricants or WD-40. Only use 100% silicone treadmill lubricant.
2. Adjusting Belt Tension
Symptoms of a loose belt: Slipping, lagging, or a burning smell during use.
How to tighten:
- Locate the two tension bolts at the rear end of the walking pad (left and right).
- Use the provided Allen key to turn each bolt clockwise ¼ turn at a time.
- Test after each adjustment until the slipping stops.
Note: Don’t overtighten. The belt should move freely when powered off and manually pushed.
3. Aligning the Belt
When needed: If the belt shifts to one side.
Steps:
- Identify the direction the belt is moving off-center.
- Tighten the bolt slightly on the side it’s drifting towards, and loosen the opposite bolt.
- Run the walking pad at low speed (2 to 3 km/h) to check alignment. Repeat if needed.
4. Cleaning the AV Walking Pad
Frequency: Weekly or as needed.
To clean:
- Belt & Deck: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Remove dust and debris.
- Frame & Display: Use a microfiber cloth with mild soap solution. Avoid spraying water directly.
- Motor area (optional): Every few months, unplug the walking pad, remove the cover, and gently clean dust using a dry cloth or handheld vacuum.
Note: Never use harsh chemicals, alcohol-based cleaners, or soak any part of the walking pad.
5. Caring for the Remote
- The remote control comes pre-installed with a CR2025 battery for immediate use.
- Replace the battery with a CR2025 when performance begins to fade.
- Keep the remote in a dry, cool environment to ensure consistent function
6. Storage Tips
- Always unplug the walking pad before moving.
- Store upright or flat in a dry space.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight.
